Gene Kim

Kim & Chang

Gene Kim is a senior partner at Kim & Chang. He has extensive experience in litigation, enforcement and dispute resolution involving IP issues, specializing in trademark matters. He received his BA from Youngnam University in 1971 and his MA from American University's Graduate School of Business Administration in 1984. Before joining Kim & Chang, Mr Kim served as chief administrative trademark judge and director general of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) Intellectual Property Tribunal. He also served as deputy director general of KIPO and as commercial attaché for the Korean embassy in Indonesia. He is fluent in Korean and English.
