Head of licensing and litigation, Gabriel Leonardos is a distinguished lecturer and professor of IP courses, a member of the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys, a former president of the Licensing Executives Society Brazil, as well as honorary president of the German-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr Leonardos is also a judge in the Ethics Court of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property, the vice president of the ABPI and a board member of the Federal Bar Association, heading the IP Committee. Due to his long engagement fostering economic and cultural ties between Brazil and Germany, in 2015 the German government awarded Mr Leonardos the Bundesverdienstkreuz (the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany).
