Filipe Baptista is a partner at Baptista Monteverde & Associados. He has a law degree and a postgraduate qualification in intellectual property from the Lusíada University in Lisbon. He represents parties in litigation and provides advice on patents, trademarks, designs, copyright, unfair competition, anti-counterfeiting, advertising and pharmaceutical law. 

Mr Baptista is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association, as well as a number of international IP associations. He is currently on the council of the European Communities Trademark Association (ECTA) and is strongly involved with the ECTA Design Committee and the INTA Alternative Dispute Resolution Sub-committee. He was formerly vice president of the Portuguese Consultants IP Association. Mr Baptista also speaks at a number of international conferences, workshops and seminars.
