Charl Potgieter is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He has specialised in IP law for the past 13 years and deals with anti-counterfeiting, trademark infringement and copyright infringement matters. He also assists with the training of customs and police officials on product identification and procedures in terms of the Counterfeit Goods Act, as well as anti-counterfeit operations in South Africa and Africa. Mr Potgieter also assists the police, Interpol and Customs in various African countries, such as Namibia, Botswana, Angola, Mozambique, Zambia, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and Kenya with in-market operations and strategies to combat counterfeit goods.
