Carlos Palacio is a partner at Brigard & Castro. He received his law degree from Universidad del Externado (Bogota), where he also obtained a postgraduate degree in intellectual property, copyright and new technologies. He was admitted to practise law in Colombia in 1992. His particular areas of expertise are commercial law, industrial property, copyrights and domain names. Mr Palacio is professor of business rights and commercial law at Universidad del Externado. He is a member of the Inter- American Association of Intellectual Property and the Colombian Association of Industrial Property. He is the author of El Fraude Informático and Software and Legal Protection. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
