Prior to joining Davies Collison Cave, Benita practiced as an advocate and solicitor with a focus on technology-related disputes and transactions. She regularly assisted with enforcing and defending clients’ intellectual property rights before the courts of Singapore, advised on regulatory compliance and also drafted terms of use, licensing and franchising agreements.

At Davies Collison Cave, Benita draws upon this practical experience to assist businesses ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations in building their brands and commercialising their intellectual property assets.

Working with experienced colleagues across Singapore and Australia, Benita supports the development of protection strategies in a multi-jurisdictional context, identifying potential risks and also opportunities for growth. Benita also represents brand owners in contentious trade mark-related proceedings, as well as exploring alternatives to public and costly litigation.
