Aloys Hüttermann studied chemistry in Freiburg, obtained his PhD in Bochum and began working in the patent field in 2002. He is the co-author of the German chemistry textbook Das Basiswissen der Organischen Chemie. His article “How to get that 3-D shape mark registered” was chosen as the exclusive German article for the current Managing Intellectual Property IP Handbook. Together with Stefan Michalski, he founded Michalski Hüttermann Patent Attorneys in 2006. His main practice areas include German and international IP law, pharmaceutical sciences and engineering, chemicals and chemistry, biochemistry and microbiology.
