Why trademark counsel could get lost in the crowd if they don’t engage with designers
WTR has reported extensively on the trademark-marketing relationship, and the challenges faced by some teams in ensuring that IP considerations are built into marketing and branding decision-making. Speaking at INTA’s Design Protection Conference in Copenhagen, Steinar Valade-Amland, of Danish Designers, was tasked with predicting the future of the design industry, in a bid to provide an insight into tomorrow’s design challenges. In so doing, he sounded a warning to those trademark counsel currently out of synch with their design colleagues.
