Trademark applications made easy

Singapore

Trademark applications may now be filed electronically with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore. Although not mandatory, the new system encourages e-filing by setting a premium on fees for applications filed by post.

The e-filing of trademarks can be done directly through the Intellectual Property Office's website. Other activities that may be done online include the following:

  • applying to register a certification or collective mark;

  • applying to renew a trademark;

  • amending or updating an applicant's or proprietor's details;

  • applying for an extension of time;

  • appointing a new agent; and

  • updating an address for service.
