RedTube v YouTube Red coverage tops our most-read blogs list
Our two most-read blogs in October had a distinctly ‘adult’ feel. Leading the field was our coverage of Google’s announcement of an ad-free subscription service on YouTube, to be titled ‘YouTube Red’. Online media reports and social media comments quickly jumped on the similarity between the name and one of the world’s most popular adult websites, RedTube. We spoke to brand and legal experts on the matter, with opinion split on why YouTube would invite potential brand name confusion.
