As gTLDs move ever closer to launch, the one unknowable for applicants and non-applicants alike is the likely uptake in terms of internet user behaviour. Will non-applicants rue their decision to not apply? Will consumers prove sceptical of the introduction of hundreds of new TLDs? Or will the reality be somewhere in the middle?
