Powering change, breaking glass ceilings: perspectives on diversity in the trademark industry
The theme of today’s World Intellectual Property Day is ‘Powering change: Women in innovation and creativity’. The celebration is designed to specifically recognise the brilliance, ingenuity, curiosity and courage of the women who are driving change in our world and shaping our common future – and also acknowledge some of the hurdles that must be overcome.
For the intellectual property industry, World IP Day is a highlight of the calendar. Many awareness campaigns are planned over the next 24 hours, including those from WIPO, the USPTO, the Canadian IP Office, and the AIPLA. Each will focus on the experiences of women in the industry, and the speaker line-up includes inventors, entrepreneurs and artists with registered IP.
