One week left to nominate the industry’s leading lights for recognition

The nominations window for the 2022 WTR Industry Awards and the next edition of WTR 300: The World’s Leading Corporate Trademark Professionals closes next week. Act now to ensure that the critical work undertaken by corporate trademark professionals is recognised.

During the nominations window we are seeking the community’s help in identifying the in-house counsel deemed to be the industry’s leading lights, adding true value to their organisations and exemplifying the qualities that other counsel should aspire to. Factors to include when making a nomination include the development of innovative protection strategies, excellence in transactional work, forward-thinking approaches to prosecution, inventiveness in the enforcement of rights, successful management of portfolio expansion, exploitation and/or rationalisation, efficient cooperation with outside counsel, successful internal (re)organisations and/or litigation success.

Nominations will be held in the strictest confidence and will not be disclosed to any third parties. Recommendations must be for in-house teams and individuals – any nominations for private practice/law firm professionals will be disregarded.

Once the nominations window is closed these will then:

• form the basis of the next edition of WTR 300: The World’s Leading Corporate Trademark Professionals, which identifies and profiles those individuals that the wider community have singled out as the industry’s strategic and inspirational leaders.
• be used as the first step towards compiling the WTR Industry Awards 2022 shortlist, which identifies industry-leading trademark teams from around the world. Once the nomination window is closed, WTR’s editorial team will undertake additional research and the shortlist will be revealed in Spring 2021. The winners will then be announced at an exclusive presentation ceremony.
