Nominations are open for the WTR Industry Awards 2018

World Trademark Review is currently inviting nominations for its extensive annual research project, designed to identify and recognise the leading in-house trademark teams and individuals. Act now to ensure that the industry’s leading lights are recognised at the WTR Industry Awards 2018.

Established in 2007, the WTR Industry Awards honour the truly outstanding performances of corporate trademark teams and individuals, taking into account such factors as innovation in the prosecution or enforcement of trademarks, successful portfolio management, efficient cooperation with external partners and engagement with the wider trademark and business communities (to view previous years’ winners, click here). Next year’s awards ceremony – which will focus on the work undertaken by nominees through 2017 – will take place in Seattle in May 2018, with the shortlist to be announced in April 2018.

As well as the WTR Industry Awards, the nominations will also form the basis of the second edition of the WTR 300: The World’s Leading Corporate Trademark Professionals, which identifies and profiles the counsel that the community has singled out as strategic leaders. To arrive at the shortlist for both projects, World Trademark Review conducts independent research based on the nominations (which are held in the strictest confidence and are not disclosed to any third parties).

The nominations window closes on December 8, and self-nominations and those from individuals working in the same organisation as the nominee are accepted. Importantly, nominations must be for corporate trademark professionals – any nominations for private practice/law firm professionals will be disregarded.
