New individual fees under Madrid Protocol enter into force

The new individual fees under the Madrid Protocol for international applications designating Bulgaria entered into force on November 6 2011.

When Bulgaria is designated in an international application or in a subsequent designation, Sfr366 (approximately €297 or $406) will be charged for three classes of goods or services, and Sfr33 (approximately €27 or $37) will be charged for each additional class. For a collective or certification mark, applicants must now pay Sfr643 (approximately €521 or $713) for three classes of goods or services, and Sfr67 (approximately €54 or $74) for each additional class.

For renewals, Sfr166 (approximately €135 or $185) will be charged for three classes of goods or services, and Sfr33 (approximately €27 or $37) for each additional class. To renew a collective or certification mark, applicants must pay Sfr333 (approximately €270 or $369) for three classes of goods or services, and Sfr67 (approximately €54 or $74) for each additional class.
