New free-to-view anti-counterfeiting guide available online now
The 2016 edition of Anti-counterfeiting – A Global Guide, which provides trademark and brand protection professionals with critical guidance on anti-counterfeiting laws, procedures and strategies in key jurisdictions around the world, is now available to view online.
Presented in a simple, easy-to-use format, the ninth edition of this indispensable publication analyses the anti-counterfeiting frameworks in place in 25 jurisdictions, with two regional chapters identifying wider trends and best practices in the European Union and the Western Balkans. In addition, an industry insight section offers guidance and strategic advice on working with intermediaries, policing and takedown in the expanded online space, adapting approaches for the social media environment, developing an international border protection programme, adapting to the threat from new technologies and how to ‘follow the money’ when investigating the flow of illicit trade. We also present an exploration of the potential impact of plain packaging regulations on food products and a look at the economic impact of counterfeiting.
World Trademark Review subscribers will soon receive hard copies of the guide. In the meantime, all of the content – along with an interactive tool that allows you to compare key anti-counterfeiting procedures in different jurisdictions - is available here.
