Metering replaces batching, but the challenge of smooth gTLD delegation remains

Since the demise of the digital archery, there has been uncertainty about how the gTLD delegation process will be approached. A month later we have more clues about ICANN’s current thinking, with a new public comment period asking for views on how to achieve the “metering of delegations of new gTLDs into the root zone”.
