In China’s e-commerce explosion, location will be all-important for brands
The e-commerce market in China is on the verge of a boom, with online sales expected to top $540 billion by 2015 (compared to roughly $345 billion in the US). As international brands venture online, industry sources advise that the strategy for maximum impact may not focus on pricing but rather on choice of platform. In order to battle counterfeiters, brand owners should therefore ensure that their chosen online platform has the appropriate checks in place.
