ICANN maintains line on singular/plural gTLDs, but puts closed generics on hold
ICANN’s Board New gTLD Program Committee has adopted a number of resolutions concerning portions of the GAC's Safeguard Advice for new gTLDs. While maintaining the status quo on singular and plural versions of the same string, its resolution on ‘closed generic’ gTLDs places such applications in a holding pattern.
