How design laws expand the scope of rights protection

Quite peripheral until recently, design rights have come into the limelight
with the implementation in Europe of legislation (i) harmonizing the criteria
for obtaining and enforcing design rights across the member states, and (ii)
introducing protection for Community designs. David Musker of RGC Jenkins &
