Google and Microsoft outline the challenges facing online intermediaries

A discussion of online infringement and intermediary responsibility, which took place in Los Angeles yesterday at the USF School of Law McCarthy Institute and Microsoft Corporation Symposium, considered all platforms. However, with representatives from Microsoft and Google on the panel, search engines received the most attention, with disagreement over how best to tackle the problem of online infringement.
