Fresh move to harmonize anti-counterfeiting law in east Africa
The East African Community is conducting a study on how the region can adopt a harmonized law to protect brand owners from counterfeit goods. Strong anti-counterfeiting policy in the region is essential if the EAC wants to attract more foreign rights holders as it moves to establishing a common market in 2010.
