Foreign companies benefit from PRC domain name reform
The domain name registration system in the People's Republic of China
has been overhauled. The result is new opportunities for foreign companies, such as the ability to register country-code top-level domain names and provide registration services in the 'cn' domain space. Lim Mei Yin, of counsel at Perkins Coie in Hong Kong, compares the old legislation with the new, highlighting some of the significant differences.
