Deal to cut Community trademark registration fees agreed
A deal done at the end of last week should, at last, result in a significant reduction to the fees for registering a Community trademark. After months of delays, the breakthrough came at an extraordinary joint meeting of the Administrative Board and Budget Committee of OHIM. The key proposal is that the combined cost of applying for and registering a Community trademark should be reduced from €1,750 to around €1,000.
