Celebrating law firm excellence: 2022 Global IP Awards winners revealed

The winners of the third Global IP Awards, which recognise law and attorney firm excellence in the fields of trademark and patent work, were announced at a gala dinner in London last night. The list of winners serves as a reminder of the outstanding depth of IP legal expertise available to corporate teams as they seek to protect and monetise their IP the world over.

Launched in 2019, the Global IP Awards heralds the outstanding achievements of IP law and attorney firms in litigation, prosecution and transactional work.

With full-time journalists and dedicated researchers based in Europe, the US and Asia, IAM and WTR are uniquely placed to provide in-depth reporting and analysis of developments in all the world’s major IP markets. Based on their collective knowledge and insight, and drawing on a number of strategic data points, the firms that deserve recognition for their achievements across the past 12 months were identified – and then celebrated at a special event held at Christ Church Spitalfields, London, last night.

Rachel Mountain, IAM editor, delivered the welcome address, stating: “We know the Global IP Awards are not the only awards scheme out there, but we really do believe they are the most prestigious. They carry the IAM and WTR names, and are underpinned by a selection process that no-one else gets close to matching. Every single winner has come out on top against very tough competition – and thoroughly deserves the recognition they are receiving. Congratulations to all of you!”

Proceeds from the dinner go towards supporting the Swawou School for Girls in Sierra Leone. The school was set up in 2008 to offer free, quality education to girls from the Swawou community of Kenema town, eastern Sierra Leone. IAM and WTR’s parent company Law Business Research is the major financial supporter of the school.
