Three new gTLDs focused on the automobile industry - ‘.car’, ‘.cars’ and ‘.auto’ - have been launched, with the sunrise period running from December 9 2015 to January 12 2016. These gTLDs are being marketed at automobile manufacturers and car dealers, rather than the general public, but the high registry fees (starting at $3,000) could deter potential registrants.
