Rising enforcement efforts show an increasing concern for IP rights in the Caribbean

As a remote region for many brand owners, the Caribbean’s relatively small market often sees trademark rights under-enforced, but Caribbean IP’s Patrick Hely and Katherine Hely argue that recent efforts by US Customs and Border Protection, the Jamaica Constabulary Force and INTERPOL suggest the authorities are clamping down on counterfeiting.
