Awareness of the importance of protecting trademarks is growing in the Slovenian market. Judicial practice in the field has become more sophisticated, with the courts now awarding temporary injunctions in trademark infringement cases and exercising discretionary rights to evaluate and award damages with heightened frequency. The country has a small market, in which a few firms rule the roost when it comes to the provision of full-scope trademark expertise.
