Charlotte Stirling is a highly experienced trademark attorney, having worked in the profession for over 20 years. She is a qualified UK trademark attorney and EU Intellectual Property Office professional representative. Ms Stirling is also a member of the Institute of Trademark Attorneys and served as a council member of the institute for several years, in particular on its Education and Training and Membership Committees.
Ms Stirling’s work comprises advising clients on all aspects of trademark protection and enforcement, including clearance searches, filing, registration, maintenance and management of portfolios, as well as contentious matters such as oppositions, infringement advice, resolution of disputes and related strategy and planning. She has particular experience in enforcing clients' IP rights in the online sphere, including domain name dispute resolution proceedings before the World Intellectual Property Organisation and Nominet.
Over the past 20 years, Ms Stirling has handled work on a worldwide basis for an extensive range of clients – from individuals to large corporations – including numerous household names. She currently works with clients from a diverse range of sectors, including finance, communications, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, oil and gas, and employment.
Ms Stirling joined J A Kemp in 2008 and became a partner in 2014. Before joining J A Kemp, she was a partner at Dehns.
