She is now often called upon to advise on aspects of Canadian litigation when clients face IP challenges or wish to obtain or assert IP rights simultaneously in Canada and the United States.
Ms Hussey regularly writes, speaks and teaches on written and oral advocacy, litigation and IP topics. She is a member of the International Trademark Association Legislation and Regulation Committee and the editorial board of the Canadian Intellectual Property Law Review. Ms Hussey obtained her law degree and a bachelor of science degree from McGill University, and an LLM from Columbia University (New York), focusing on intellectual property. She has frequently been recognised as a leading trademark and patent lawyer in league tables. In 2012 she was named one of Canada’s Leading 40 Lawyers Under 40 by LEXPERT Rising Stars.
