Michael Ritscher heads the IP team of Meyerlustenberger Lachenal, an outstanding group of professionals in all areas of IP law who are noted for their excellent team spirit.

Mr Ritscher is one of the most experienced and highly esteemed IP litigators in Switzerland. In addition to his substantial patent litigation practice in all technical fields, including life sciences, he is often involved in trademark, design and copyright disputes. Mr Ritscher’s expertise covers not only Swiss, but also EU and international law.

In trademark law, Mr Ritscher has successfully represented trademark owners in several leading cases and is particularly experienced with colour and three-dimensional trademarks and other cutting-edge issues.

He is also president of the Swiss Institute for Intellectual Property, Switzerland’s pre-eminent IP association; a lecturer at the University of Lucerne; co-editor of sic!, the leading Swiss IP journal; and an extra-official judge at the Zurich Court of Commerce.
