Juan Luis Gracia Albero graduated in law from the University of Alicante and has a postgraduate degree in IP and IT law (Magister Lvcentinvs) from the University of Alicante.
He is a qualified attorney at law and has practised IP law since 2001. Before founding FJF Legal, he was a partner at several well-known Spanish firms.
Mr Gracia Albero advises and counsels national and international companies, primarily focusing on contentious and non-contentious IP matters. He has advised and litigated on behalf of major companies in complex and multinational patent and trademark cases before the Spanish and EU courts and is regularly involved in negotiating international contracts and agreements (eg, licensing and know-how). He is also active in the prosecution of IP matters before the Spanish and European trademark offices.
Mr Gracia Albero has authored and co-authored books including DERECHO TIC Derecho de las tecnologías de la información y de la comunicación (ICT LAW, Information and Communication Technology Law) (Tirant Le Blanch edition), as well as several articles on IP law. He is a professor in IT law on the master’s in intellectual property and information technology course at the University of Alicante (Magister Lvcentinvs) and he is often invited to speak at national and international conferences and seminars.
Mr Gracia Albero is an active member of several IP organisations, including the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property, the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and the International Trademark Association, where he is a member of the Enforcement Committee and was nominated as a member of the Law Firms Committee for the 2018-2019 term.
He is fluent in Spanish, Catalan and English.
