Ted Kwon is a partner at Yoon & Yang, where he heads the trademark practice group. His areas of practice include counselling on trademarks, domain names, copyright and unfair competition matters, advising on trademark availability, filing oppositions and cancellation proceedings and taking action against counterfeiting.

Through his extensive experience in the areas of trademark prosecution and enforcement, Mr Kwon has gained a strong reputation, particularly in relation to the protection of trademarks in South Korea. He was chosen by Asia Law & Practice as one of the most acclaimed IP law experts in South Korea for four years in a row (2008 to 2011).

Mr Kwon is known for his expertise in global IP management. He represents many well-known brand owners, helping them to develop their branding strategies and protect their trademarks both in South Korea and internationally. He works extensively in the area of trademark enforcement, which enables him to identify, protect and defend clients’ rights under copyright, trademark, trade dress, design patent, trade secret and related laws. He has handled many infringement cases for domestic and international clients through police raids and litigation, and is highly experienced in anti-counterfeiting and enforcement matters.

While Mr Kwon works for clients all around the world, his client base is primarily in Korea, Europe, Japan and the United States.
