Managing Partner - Pakharenko & Partners
Antonina Pakharenko-Anderson is the managing partner and founder of Pakharenko & Partners, one of the first private IP and law firms in Ukraine. She is a registered patent attorney and doctor of laws who has been working in the IP field for over 25 years.
Dr Pakharenko-Anderson took an active part in the development of the Ukrainian IP laws and is dedicated to the improvement of the national IP regime protection to bring it into line with international standards. She continues to cooperate closely with governmental bodies and non-governmental organisations on further harmonisation of Ukrainian IP laws. Dr Pakharenko-Anderson has vast experience in consultancy at both national and international levels. She has chaired the Public Board under the State Service for Intellectual Property of Ukraine for an extended period of time. She is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Supreme Commercial Court of Ukraine.
Dr Pakharenko-Anderson is a member of several national and international IP organisations and anti-counterfeiting coalitions. These include the Ukrainian Association of Patent Attorneys, the Ukrainian Association of Trademark Owners and the Ukrainian Alliance Against Counterfeiting and Piracy and, at an international level, the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), the International Bar Association, the Licensing Executives Society, the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys, the International Trademark Association, MARQUES, the European Communities Trademark Association, the Pharmaceutical Trademarks Group, the Anti-counterfeiting Group, the International Anticounterfeiting Coalition, the International Chamber of Commerce Counterfeiting Intelligence Bureau, the Association of Corporate Counsel and the European Business Association. Dr Pakharenko-Anderson is the president of the Ukrainian National Group of the AIPPI and a member of the Team of Specialists on Intellectual Property of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.
She is the author of many works in both domestic and international publications dedicated to patent law, trademark law, licensing, enforcement of IP rights and anti-counterfeiting.
Dr Pakharenko-Anderson is fluent in English, German and Russian.
