3D shape mark rejected for technical function
In this decision of the hearing officer, an application to register a three-dimensional (3D) shape was rejected on the basis of the shape's technical function (Decision O/203/18, in the matter of application No 3158606 by Hambleside Danelaw Law). The hearing officer rejected the applicant's arguments that one type of use of the shape made certain features of the shape aesthetic rather than technical.
