In Kwang Yang Motor Co Ltd v European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) (Case T-45/17, February 20 2018), the General Court has confirmed a decision of the Second Board of Appeal of the EUIPO rejecting the application for the word mark CK1, filed by Kwang Yang Motor Co Ltd, due to a conflict with the earlier figurative mark CK.
