Indonesia

While civil proceedings in Indonesia can be tortuous at times, the sheer number of brand owners now seeking to enforce their IP rights in the jurisdiction is encouraging. There have also been positive developments in the anti-counterfeiting space: the authorities are becoming more cooperative when it comes to conducting raids, seizing fakes and pursuing those responsible. Local firms continue to dominate the market, but several international entities are making their presence felt.
