ECJ delivers blow to Rubik’s Cube

The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has handed down its long-awaited decision on the Rubik’s Cube three-dimensional (3D) mark, annulling an EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO – previously the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market) decision which had confirmed registration of the shape as an EU trademark.
