Moncler’s battle-hardened IP team has proved that it has what it takes to go the distance after triumphing in a ground-breaking trademark case in China last year. The judgment was the first under the country’s new Trademark Law in which maximum statutory damages were awarded. It was no easy victory for the team in this often-challenging forum, as brand protection manager Federica Zambelli acknowledges: “We won last year, but we had spent over two years setting up the case.”
